Peaceflow is a form of active meditation which combines elements of 'static meditation'

- like correct posture, visualisation and coordination of breathing - with gentle body movements.

Most of us are already aware of the many advantages of meditation, as it reduces stress,

improves concentration, increases self-awareness, acceptance and happiness, slows ageing,

and benefits cardiovascular and immune health.

Research carried out at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield (UK),

the US National Institute of Health and Harward's Women's Health Watch

have also shown that gentle bodywork slows the heart rate and lowers blood pressure.

Moreover, it is effective against arthritis, bone loss and ageing and has a positive effect

on diabetes, lower back pain and depression.

Peaceflow was created by Italian psychologist Tommaso Palumbo in May 2005.

He has been teaching it to his clients since.

In November 2016, Tommaso decided to take this form of active meditation beyond

the confines of his psychological practice and to start offering Peaceflow classes.

You don't have to be super-fit to practise Peaceflow: to the contrary this form

of active meditation it is suitable for everyone.
